On Friday, February 13, 2026, the Law School and the Law & Economics Center hosted “Former Justice Scalia Clerks, Now Judges: Former Clerks for Justice Scalia Reflect on His Life, Lessons, Legacy, and Influence on Their Work.” The luncheon panel featured four of Justice Scalia’s former clerks who shared personal anecdotes from their days in the Justice’s chambers, as well as reflections on his profound impact on their lives and their own judicial approaches. The panel was part of a series of events held all week long from February 9–13 at the Scalia Law School in remembrance of Justice Scalia on the tenth anniversary of his passing.

The panelists included:

Donald J. Kochan, Professor of Law and Executive Director of the Law & Economics Center (LEC) at George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, served as moderator. The panelists also took questions from the audience at the conclusion of the program.

More than 70 participants attended the luncheon panel, including Scalia law students, faculty, staff, and other friends of the Law School.
