More information about the University Commencement

2:00 p.m.   School of Law Convocation  Concert Hall, Fairfax Campus
Graduating Students should arrive by 12:15 p.m.

The School of Law Convocation is a special convocation ceremony for law graduates only. This ceremony is NOT to be confused with the GMU General Commencement ceremony that is held the same day at 10:00 a.m. Graduates may attend both. The School of Law Convocation ceremony will be followed by a reception with light refreshments.

Tickets for guests are required for the School of Law Convocation; each graduate is allotted eight (8) tickets. Each guest must have a ticket to attend. If you would like additional tickets, please coordinate with colleagues who do not plan to attend graduation or do not plan to use all 8 of their tickets. SBA can only distribute tickets to the person to whom the tickets are assigned, but students are free to exchange them among themselves.

Graduates will be able to pick up eight (8) tickets for their graduation guests from the SBA office (Hazel Hall 334) the week of April 21-25 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. If these times are not convenient for you, or if you stop by and no one is in the office, please email Mariam Al-Koshnaw Creedon at to arrange for an alternative pick-up time. Remember— if you are using the tickets of another student who is not attending the ceremony, that student still needs to pick up the tickets from the SBA office. Graduating students who wish to invite more than 8 guests are encouraged to ask others for their extra tickets before ticket distribution begins.

Guest speaker at ceremony: TBD

Graduates and Guests should park in the Visitors Parking Garage next to the Concert Hall.
