The Flex-LLM was designed to fit your life. All courses are delivered 100% online, allowing you to earn your degree from anywhere in the world; no relocation, visa, or on-campus attendance required. You’ll have 26 bar-eligible credits built into the curriculum, ensuring that your coursework and bar prep work hand-in-hand toward D.C. Bar eligibility. How to Apply

Our admissions process is designed to be simple and supportive for international professionals. Applicants must hold a law degree (or an equivalent credential) from a country outside the United States.

Required materials include:

  • Required transcripts*
  • 500-word goals statement
  • Resume or CV
  • Proof of English proficiency (if applicable)
  • Optional letters of recommendation

*You may submit an unofficial transcript while you wait for officials to arrive. Once you receive them, an official transcript can be sent to llminfo@gmu.edu.

There is no application fee, and all applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. An admissions interview is required for final review. We offer rolling admissions with the following deadlines:

  • Fall Start: August 1
  • Spring Start: December 1
  • Summer Start: April 1
