Summer Circulation Assistant Positions
The law library is hiring Circulation Assistants for the summer! Circulation assistants primarily staff the circulation desk where they welcome visitors, answer questions, provide excellent customer service, and facilitate efficient access to library resources and materials. Circulation assistants may also open and close the library, shelve books, assist with interlibrary loan by retrieving or scanning requests, and work on other special projects as needed.
Summer circulation assistants will work between 8-20 hours per week, depending on their schedule and library staffing needs. The schedule is flexible, but priority will be given to applicants who are available to work in the evening and on weekends and who are available from mid-May to early August. Students as well as well as recent graduates are welcome to apply!
The pay rate is $13.00/hour.
Required Qualifications:
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service to all library users
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to be reliable and punctual
- Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a library and/or familiarity with legal materials
