Information for Employers
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 18th Annual DC/Baltimore Public Service Recruitment Fair! There is NO FEE to participate in the fair. We hope you will join us on Friday, January 31, 2020, at George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School. Last year’s event brought over 100 employers and 300+ students together through interviews, table talk sessions, and resume collections to meet and discuss public interest and government opportunities in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and surrounding areas.
Hosted by seven area law schools, the recruitment fair allows employers to meet hundreds of law students in one day. It offers law students an opportunity to learn about participating organizations and agencies, apply to available summer and post-graduate positions, and develop job search strategies and interviewing skills.
For employers able to participate in person for the one-day event, you may participate in informal “table talk” and/or the more structured “on-site interviews." If you are unable to attend in person, we can collect résumés on your behalf and send them to you for your consideration (the fair’s "resume collection" option).
In order for your organization to participate in the fair, simply register through our online registration system and submit the appropriate “schedule request.” Below are further details about the fair and registration instructions. If you have any questions, please contact Elisha Garvey at George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, via firstname.lastname@example.org or (703) 993-8224. Once you are registered, more detailed information will be provided.
We hope to see you at the event!

Important Facts about the Career Fair
Date: Friday, January 31, 2020
(Table Talk: 1:00 p.m.– 4:00 p.m.; Interviews: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
Registration for employers begins on October 15th. The deadline for Interviewing employers to submit a schedule request is December 13, 2019 and for Resume Collection employers is January 13, 2020. Table Talk registration will continue into January.
Students (including 1Ls) will bid for interviews based on the information provided by each employer. Once bidding closes, we will provide employers with application packets for all students who placed a bid for an interview with their organization. Employers will then select the candidates they wish to interview. Employers can select full-day or half-day interview sessions (morning session - 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; afternoon session - 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
Table Talk gives employers and students an opportunity to meet and talk informally. Employers will be assigned to tables and students will be free to walk around and talk to representatives. All student classes are permitted to participate, and students may bring resumes and provide them to employers. We encourage employers to bring brochures or other materials for students. Table Talk will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm. Employers may participate in Table Talk in addition to conducting formal interviews.
Organizations that are unable to attend the recruitment fair may elect to have the schools collect and forward student résumés. If you are interested in Resume Collection only, please select this preference on the schedule request upon registering.
Previously Participating Employers
If you have participated in the recruitment fair in the past, you will receive an electronic invitation in October containing your PSRF website log-in information and information about how to request a schedule (i.e., participate in interviews, table talk, and/or resume collection). Once you submit your schedule request and it is approved, you are confirmed to participate in the fair.
Employers NEW to the PSRF
Beginning October 15th, NEW employers can register directly through the PSRF website. Once you are on the home page, first click the “Employer" button, then click the “Sign Up” tab on the righthand side and fill out the Profile. Required information is noted with a red asterisk. Once the Profile is complete, click on the “Submit” button on the bottom of the page. You will then receive a confirmation email within 1-2 days, which will include your user name and password. Additional information, including information about how to request a schedule (i.e., participate in interviews, table talk, and/or resume collection), will follow. Once you submit your schedule request and it is approved, you are confirmed to participate in the fair.
